The Wemos D1 mini triple base is perfect for prototyping using the Wemos D1 mini family of microcontrollers and sensors

There are three spots on the board that fit any of the available sensors or microcontrollers in the D1 mini range. The corresponding pins are connected on all three sections of the board  Ie. D1 on the left side of the board is connected to D1 on the middle and right side of the board. D2 connected to D2, etc

One microcontroller cant control many sensors and devices, more so than you would typically be able to stack on top of each other. There is also an area on each section of the board for soldering prototypes where the pins are broughout out to solderable through holes
